St. Patricks Day Dash Event Description The Dash is a 3.6 mile jaunt beginning and ending at Seattle Center. Run, walk, jog or crawl. There are four wave starts so you can move at your own pace. The Leprechaun Lap lets kids burn off energy with their own Dash at Seattle Center. Event festivities include start line appearances by dignitaries, parading bagpipers. The Post Dash Bash entertains Dashers with live music, a costume contest, sponsor booths, awards ceremony and a beer garden. The Detlef Schrempf Foundation is the official non-profit partner of the St. Patrick’s Day Dash. The Detlef Schrempf Foundation donates funds raised through Dash proceeds and by direct contributions to benefit Seattle Children’s Autism Center and Campfire. We thank the Detlef Schrempf Foundation for its contribution to youth programs around Puget Sound. Promotional Events There are three Brooks NightLife Training Runs at Super Jock ‘n Jill where you can test your fitness level, sign up with your friends, win prizes and enjoy refreshments, all in an effort to get you ready mentally and physically for the St. Patrick’s Day Dash. The St. Patrick’s Day Dash is part of Irish Week, presented by the Irish Heritage Club. Events include the Soda Bread contest, Film Festival, Proclamation Lunch at FX McRory’s, the annual laying of the Green Stripe on 4th Ave and the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, followed by Irish-themed entertainment at Seattle Center. “Last Gasp” registration culminates promotional activities with a packet pickup event at Seattle Center and late registration at Super Jock ‘n Jill.
